Dulux announced their colour for 2020 this week – Tranquil Dawn. The green hue is meant “as a nod to elements of the natural landscape”.  “The hazy pale green tones of Tranquil Dawn are calming and comforting just when we need it most in our lives.” said Dulux's UK creative director.  You can download the Dulux Visualizer App from the Paint Web Site which “lets you see how a colour comes to life in a room”.

If you’re planning to decorate your home with a shade of pale green, the home décor magazines and designers, suggest adding striking pops of colour from pure white to leafy green, and pastel pink to deep teal. Metallic objects, paisley patterns, flamingos, unicorns and cacti still feature. Finishing touches, like cushions, candle holders, boxes, frames and our signature handcrafted plant pots are a great way to help give a little more character to your home, at an affordable price.

Get your Green Finger Fix

Lots of info on the web, at the moment, about growing house plants from an avocado pit or pineapple leaves.  Another very simple idea where you just need a box of matches can, apparently, quickly revive the look of your plants.  By burying the head of several matches in the soil around the plant, in a week or so it will recover. The reason is in the head of the match which is made of phosphorus and sulphur. This combination will get rid of any bugs in the soil in a safe and reliable way, and your plant will be able to breathe again. Definitely going to give this a try!
