Wedding Memories Nostalgic Gifts Elegant Themes A Stylish Look
Now that restrictions have been relaxed for weddings to take place in England, I thought it was time to showcase some of the items we have available as gifts.
It’s said that when the wedding is over you’re just left with the photos and your memories. But that’s not the case because a specially designed nostalgic gift such as a wooden keepsake or treasure box can be given to the bridal couple. The box can help preserve such things as a few dried flowers from the wedding bouquet, wine glass charms, a champagne cork, some confetti, the pen with which the happy couple signed the register, and a photo of the wedding day.
My favourite theme this year has been the vintage look Peony Collection, an elegant and beautiful flower whose meanings include romance, prosperity, good fortune and a happy marriage. The name Peony is also a Greek baby name meaning flower.
Wedding centre pieces add that special touch and a picture-perfect opportunity to show off your style. There are many options to choose from, but it can be kept simple with an arrangement of foliage or flowering plants in pretty pots – stylish and cost effective.
A Special Gift
And so, if you’re wishing a lifetime of happiness to a new couple or celebrating years of your own, like me, a keepsake box to capture much loved memories, or a colourful pot to reflect the favourite home decor colour of the newly weds are ideal choices for a special gift.
August Birth Flower and Birthstone
Gladioli is the flower for those born in August. It’s also known as the Sword Flower. The Poppy is often used as a birth flower as well. The green gem, Peridot, is the birthstone for August. Before it became the August gemstone, it was the main zodiac stone for Libra which falls partly in the month following August.
