July Birthstone and Birth FlowerA BIT OF 2020 FLAIR
Recently I looked at what some of the home decor magazines have itemised as the most popular colours and what the fashion Spring/Summer catwalk colours were named this year. And so, adding PPPs bit of 2020 flair as well as a nod to the most popular colours...these are my favourites from the list and suggested products from our range to complement them.
DUOs and TRIOs
A set of 2 or 3 terracotta pots will showcase your green plants including succulents and cactus. These also follow the simple toned schemes of the catwalk colour known as Biscay Green - a pale bluey green. We've teamed this colour with the pink and white colours of peonies plus a hint of gold.
My web search this week about colour trends on the catwalk showed Flame Scarlet – its suggested that neutrals like sand and beige go with this colour – well no surprise there… And, you may not want a brightly coloured wallpaper in your hallway – but a corner or a windowsill with a strikingly bright tropical pot and/or treasure box may well be the answer.
Other colours mentioned by the fashion designers were Faded Denim and Mosaic Blue. Another major trend is rounded furniture and accessories and these pots represent the curvacious and geometric twist for 2020.
JULY BIRTHSTONE AND FLOWER
Pearls have an enduring appeal for jewellery and are June's Birthstone. The Rose is the flower for the month and has several meanings.
The Ruby, birthstone for July, is among the most highly prized of gemstones. Large rubies are harder to find than large diamonds, emeralds and sapphires.
The July birth flower is the blue larkspur. Each colour variation of the larkspur has a different meaning, but generally, indicates strong bonds of love
